Patti Smith : To Write A Screenplay Based On « Just Kids »

Patti Smith s’est lancé dans l’écriture d’une adaptation cinématographique de son livre Just Kids sorti en 2010, racontant sa relation avec le photographe Robert Mapplethorpe durant les année 60 et 70. Ce best-seller lui avait valu le prix du National Book Award dans la catégorie des livres non-fictifs. Pour ce projet, Smith s’offre les services de John Logan scénariste de Gladiator et Sweeny Todd.
La chanteuse et poétesse a également annoncé la sortie d’un album « Greatest Hits » intitulé Outside Society le 12 Septembre.

Patti Smith is currently writing a film adaptation of her book Just Kids which chronicles her friendship with photographer Robert Mapplethorpe during the ’60s and ’70s. Patti Smith is collaborating with screenwriter John Logan, who won Tony Award for Best Play for Red, and also holds screenwriting credits for movies Gladiator, Rango, Sweeney Todd and The Aviator.
Patti Smith also announced she will release greatest hits compilation titled Outside Society on August 23rd.
