Ben Weinman (The Dillinger Escape Plan) Talks About Cut Throat Tactics

Le guitariste de The Dillinger Escape Plan, Ben Weinman, s’est récemment entretenu avec Rocksound.tv à propos de son nouveau ‘supergroupe’, Cut Throat Tactics. Ce projet voit Weinman passer à la batterie et comprend Geoff Rickly de Thursday et des membres de Ink & Dagger.

Il a ainsi déclaré :

« Je joue de la batterie pour Cut Throat Tactics. Nous avons commencé à enregistrer ce week end, c’était cool de se donner à un autre instrument. J’ai toujours joué de la batterie et écrit les parties batterie pour Dillinger, mais carrément se surpasser avec un nouvel instrument est assez dingue.

Nous nous apprêtons à sortir un 7″, et la façon qu’on a de voir les choses est totalement old school : Faisons de la musique ensemble, sortons la sans nous soucier de signer avec un label . Sortons juste la musique, laissons les gens l’écouter et faisons quelques concerts ».

“I’ve been playing drums for Cut Throat Tactics. We actually started recording this weekend it was great to push myself with another instrument, I have always played drums and written drum parts for Dillinger but actually pushing myself with a new instrument has been pretty sick.

We are just getting ready to put out a 7” and the mindset for the project is totally old school; let’s make music together, put it out and not worry about signing to some giant label. Let’s just put it out there, have people check it out and play some shows”
