Nine Inch Nails : To Record New Album In 2012

En 2009, Trent Reznor retirait Nine Inch Nails des routes en affirmant que le groupe serait désormais un projet studio.

Le 27 avril 2010, il est fait mention sur Internet du nouveau projet de Trent Reznor et de sa femme Mariqueen Reznor, How To Destroy Angels. Le 1er Juin 2010, l’EP du groupe est mis en téléchargement légal.

Puis, en collaboration avec Atticus Ross, Reznor co-écrit et produit la bande-originale du film de David Fincher, « The Social Network« , avant de s’attaquer à celle de “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo ».

Maintenant que ce travail est terminé, il semblerait que le chanteur soit fin prêt à retourner en studio avec Nine Inch Nails. C’est ce qu’il affirme dans une interview avec la BBC Radio 1 qui se télécharge ici.

In 2009, Trent Reznor retired Nine Inch Nails from the road, stating that « Nine Inch Nails (was) done touring for the foreseeable future ».

Reznor married Mariqueen Maandig and formed a project with Atticus Ross dubbed How To Destroy Angels. Their first release, a six-track self titled EP, was made available for free download on June 1, 2010. Reznor’s next collaboration with Ross was co-writing and producing the official score for David Fincher’s 2010 film, « The Social Network ».

Then Reznor focused on collaborating with Ross again to compose the official score for another Fincher-directed film, the American adaptation of the novel « The Girl With Th Dragon Tattoo » and its sequels.

Now that this work is completed, Trent Reznor has said during an interview with Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 that there are plans to write new Nine Inch Nails material in 2012. You can download the full interview here.
