COREY TAYLOR SAYS NEXT STONE SOUR ALBUM WILL BE A « VERY GRAND PROJECT »

Corey Taylor, le chanteur de Slipknot et Stone Sour, a annoncé que le prochain album de Stone Sour, dont l’enregistrement commencera en mars 2012, sera «un très, très grand projet».

En effet, souhaitant réaliser un album à double concept, il a déclaré lors d’une interview avec Loudwire qu’il s’était inspiré des événements de sa vie (ses problèmes d’alcool et sa tentative de suicide) pour écrire cet album. Il a aussi expliqué : «C’est vraiment une sorte de chose de milieu de vie. Quand tu atteins la quarantaine tu peux continuer d’avancer ou faire prendre un autre chemin à ta vie et vraiment devenir l’homme que tu vas être ou tu peux rester, stagner et te cramponner à l’angoisse existentielle presque romantique de la jeunesse et vraiment arrêter d’évoluer à ce moment-là. C’est vraiment en quelque sorte un problème que de nombreux hommes ont. En fait, beaucoup de femmes l’ont aussi de nos jours… les chansons, bien sur, seront plus ambiguës de façon à ce que tout le monde puisse s’identifier.»

Corey Taylor, Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman, has announced that the next Stone Sour album, for which the recording will begin in March 2012, will be « a very, very grand project. »

Indeed, during an interview with loudwire, he declared that he would like to achieve «a double concept album» and that he has been inspired by events that happened in his own life (his alcohol problems and suicide attempt) to write this album. He also explained : “It really is a mid-life crisis sort of thing. When you hit your mid-to-late 30s you can keep walking forward and embrace a new stage of your life and really become the man you are going to be or you can stand and stagnate and cling to the almost romantic angst of youth and really stop evolving at this point. It’s really kind of a problem a lot of men have. Actually a lot of women these days are having it too …The songs will, of course, be more ambiguous so everyone can relate to them.”
