Gojira’s Mario Duplantier Talks New Album

Dans une nouvelle interview disponible par ici, le batteur de Gojira, Mario Duplantier, s’est exprimé sur le nouvel album du groupe à paraître cette année, et plus :

Comment se passe l’enregistrement du nouvel album ?

« Joe Duplantier, mon frère, est en train de terminer le chant à New York, et je ne suis pas à New York, je suis en France où j’ai terminé la batterie pour l’album. En ce moment mon frère terminer le chant et l’étape suivant est le mixage en Janvier et Février. »

Aviez-vous déjà quelques lignes d’écrites avant de commencer l’enregistrement ?

« Tout a été écrit et enregistré à New York. D’habitude nous faisons tout nous-même dans notre studio. Cette fois nous voulions tout faire à New York car c’est plus simple pour nous. Il y a moins de stresse et d’energie donc nous avons décidé de travailler avec Josh du début à la fin. »

Qui produit l’album ?

« L’album est co-produit par mon frère Joe et Josh Wilbus, lequel a produit le dernier Lamb Of God. »

How is recording the new album going?

« Joe Duplantier my brother is finishing vocals in New York. I am not in New York; I am in France as I have finished the drums for the album. Right now my brother is finishing vocals and then next step is to mix everything in January and February. »

Was there any material for the album pre written before going to New York or has it all been done there?

« Everything has been written and recorded in New York. Usually we do everything ourselves, in our studio. This time we wanted to do everything in New York because it is easier for us. There is less stress and less energy so we decided to work with Josh from the beginning to the end. »

Who is producing the album?

« The album is being co-produced with my brother Joe and Josh Wilbur. He was the guy who produced the last Lamb of God album(Wrath). »
