Godsmack Have Plans For A Special 2012 Release

Sully Erna, le chanteur et guitariste du groupe de métal Godsmack, était invité cette semaine dans l’émission américaine ‘That Metal Show’. Au cours de l’interview, le chanteur a tout d’abord dévoilé, en restant très vague, que le groupe a des projets de sorties pour l’année prochaine : «Nous avons plus d’un tour dans notre sac et nous prévoyons de sortir des trucs pour un genre spécial de produit».

Puis, il a relaté l’origine de son album solo intitulé Avalon, sorti en Septembre 2010 via Universal Republic : «J’avais des chansons de coté. En tant qu’artiste constamment en train d’écrire de la musique, tu tombes par hasard sur des mélodies ou des riffs qui ne conviennent pas pour ton groupe de core mais que tu ne veux pas jeter»

Il est également revenu sur ses débuts personnels, en tant que musicien et plus précisément batteur : «J’ai commencé à jouer quand j’avais trois ans et demi. Ma lignée entre dans l’histoire de la famille. Joe Perry du groupe Aerosmith, était mon héro. Cette image dans l’album live piraté m’a donné envie d’être une rock star».

This week, Sully Erna, frontman of the metal band Godsmack was invited in the American show called ‘That Metal Show‘. During the interview, remaining very vague, the singer/guitarist has first announced that the band has plans for next yea r:  « We have a couple of tricks up our sleeve and plan to release stuff for a special kind of retail piece”.

Then he recounted the origin of his solo album, entitled Avalon, released in September 2010 through Universal Republic : « I had songs tucked away. As an artist constantly writing music, you stumble on melodies or riffs that are not right for your core band but don’t want to throw them away. »

He also went back over his debut as musician and more precisely as drummer : « I started playing when I was three-and-a-half years old. My bloodlines goes into the history of my family. [Aerosmith's]Joe Perry was my hero. That picture in the live bootleg record made me want to be a rock star »
