Mudvayne « On Hiatus » For At Least Two More Years

Le groupe américain Mudvayne fait officiellement une pause.

En effet, le guitariste Greg Tribbett a confirmé via Twitter que le chanteur Chad Gray et lui seront en tournée pendant « les deux prochaines années » avec Hellyeah (leur groupe avec Vinnie Paul Abbott – batteur, Tom Maxwell – guitariste et Bob «Zilla» Kakaha -bassiste), dont le troisième album sortira début 2012.

Cependant, cette annonce étai attendu. Depuis la sortie de leur dernier album en 2009, le groupe n’a pas tourné et peu fait parlé de lui.

Néanmoins, dans une interview donnée il y a un an, le bassiste Ryan Martinie, a déclaré concernant l’évolution musicale du groupe : « Je pense que ce qu’on a fait est précieux. C’est devenu en quelque sorte un maillon de la chaîne musicale. Aujourd’hui, nous faisons partie de l’histoire musicale. Nous étions juste constamment en train de réagir par rapport à notre environnement. J’ai toujours vu le groupe comme un aspect important de ma vie, comme quelque chose qui serait censé nous emmené quelque part qui serait positif, et dans ce sens tout ce qui est arrivé avec le groupe n’est pas arrivé par hasard ». Il a aussi fait allusion à un projet musical personnel sur lequel il travaillait.

Indeed, guitarist Greg Tribbett has confirmed via Twitter that the singer Chad Gray and he will tour for “the next two years” with Hellyeah (their band with Vinnie Paul Abbott, drummer, Tom Maxwell, guitarist and Bob « Zilla » Kakaha, bassist), who will release their third album in early 2012.

However, this announcement was expected. Since their latest album released in 2009, they didn’t tour and little news has been heard about them.

Nevertheless, during an interview realized one year ago, bassist Ryan Martinie declared about the band’s musical evolution: “I think that what we did is valuable. It’s become a cog in the wheel of music in some sort of way. We are a piece of musical history now . . . We were always just responding to our environment. I always saw the band to be important as an aspect of my life, as something that was supposed to take us places that are positive, and in that sense everything that happened with the band has happened for a reason”. He also hinted that he was working on a personal musical project.
