Metallica Announce « Next Album Will Be A Heavier Black Album »

« Si Death Magnetic était le successeur logique de …And Justice For All, le prochain album sera un Black Album plus heavy ». C’est ce que promet le guitariste Kirk Hammett à propos du nouvel opus de Metallica attendu pour 2012.

‎« On a en gros sept ou huit chansons pour le moment », a déclaré Lars Ulrich. « Nous travaillons par à coups. On trouve un truc, on le laisse de coté, on part sur autre chose, on trouve quelque chose de basique, on le laisse et on reprend au début. Le mois prochain on va reprendre et embellir le tout : ‘Doublons cette partie là et puis trouvons un truc pour le milieu.’ »

Autant dire qu’après la réception majoritairement négative de Lulu, les américains ont interêt à tenir leur promesse.

“If Death Magnetic was a logical successor to …And Justice For All, the next album will be a heavier Black Album« . That’s what Kirk Hammett promises when he talked about Metallica‘s upcoming album.

“We’re about seven, eight songs into it,” Ulrich told Rolling Stone during a recent interview. “We do it in rounds. We come up with something, we leave it, go to the next thing, come up with something basic, leave it and circle back around. Next month we’ll go back and start embellishing: ‘Let’s double that one part and come up with a middle bit.”

After the generally negative reception of Lulu, Metallica should better hold their promises with this next album.
