Chris Cornell Rips Kanye West During Soundgarden Set

Lors du festival australien Big Day Out Festival, le rappeur Kanye West a déclenché un mécontentement général en interrompant le concert du groupe Soundgarden pour faire ses soundcheck. Le chanteur de Soundgarden, Chris Cornell, a notamment déclaré en revenant sur scène que «ça sonne comme si c’étaient des enfants qui jouaient de la musique, des enfants retardés, retardés comme refoulés. Il n’y a pas d’autres mots pour ça.». En employant le mot « retardé », le chanteur a certainement voulu faire un jeux de mots, puisque le rappeur avait 45 minutes de retard.

Par le passé, le rappeur s’était déjà fait remarquer à plusieurs reprises, que ce soit en interrompant la chanteuse Taylor Swift alors qu’elle prononçait un discours de remerciement, ou en affirmant lors d’un passage à la télévision américaine que l’ancien Président Bush ne se préoccupait pas de la population noire.
